On October 31, 2009, the European Commission published a rewrite of the EUP Directive (2005/32 / EC) in its official gazette OJ: "Framework for Establishing Ecodesign Requirements for Energy-Related Products" (2009/125 / EC) (abbreviated ErP), and it will take effect on the 20th from the date of publication. After the new directive officially takes effect, it will replace the current EUP directive. The most striking change of the ERP Directive (2009/125 / EC) is to expand the energy-consuming products in the original EUP Directive into Energy-related Products. However, some other contents, such as the method for establishing measures, have not changed much. The entry into force of the new directive (ERP Directive) means that more Chinese products exported to the EU will be restricted by the Directive, reminding relevant export companies to start as soon as possible and fully prepare for the Directive.

ERP Certification Directive

The emergence of the EU EUP Directive (Energy-using Product Directive, 2005/32 / EC) represents the European Union ’s concern for the environment. It has expanded from product disposal and disposal to various stages of the product life cycle. The scope of consideration includes design, production, packaging, transportation, and use. And disposal, we hope to reduce resource consumption and pollution emissions through a complete product review. The European Council (European Council, EC) issued the 2009/125 / EC Eco-Design Directive for Energy-Consuming Products on October 21, 2009 to replace the old version of 2005/32 / E. : Energy-using products) to all energy-related products (ErP: energy-related products). The new version of the Directive (ErP Directive) will come into effect on November 20, 2009.

The ErP directive is the new European CE marking regulation. As a CE mark directive, the requirements of the ErP directive will be implemented along with other requirements such as safety regulations, electromagnetic compatibility, radio, etc.

EU regulations: All electronic and electrical products sold in Europe must meet ERP testing or ERP certification requirements (European energy-related product energy-saving requirements)
